Heart of Consciousness offers three four-day meditation retreats each year at Rudramandir in Berkeley, which provide an ideal environment for deepening our practice and our commitment to spiritual growth. During these retreats, Swami Khecaranatha leads silent and guided meditations, teaches powerful meditation techniques, and gives śakti transmission. Discussion and Q&A topics range from scriptural discourse to the practical application of the teachings in students’ daily lives. Some of the retreats include the opportunity to participate in the exquisitely beautiful Parā Devi Puja—an ancient ceremony that provides a powerful transmission of grace. The Puja is usually scheduled for the July retreat, but please check with the office to confirm when it will be offered.

Included in the registration fee are lunch and dinner every day, from Thursday evening through Sunday lunch. Course participants engage in seva—performing simple tasks that help the retreat run smoothly—creating an enjoyable and meaningful opportunity to work alongside other participants. See below for dates and detailed retreat schedules.
